Breathtaking Views Above the Clouds

Join us for a day of adventure as we explore Fuya Fuya, one of the most stunning volcanoes near Otavalo, rising to an impressive 4,200 meters above sea level. Located beside the crystal-clear Mojanda Lakes, this majestic peak offers not only unforgettable views, but also serves as a perfect acclimatization hike for those preparing to conquer Ecuador’s higher mountains.

Our journey begins at 7:00 a.m., departing from Quito toward the highland landscapes of Mojanda. From the lake’s edge, we’ll start our hike up Fuya Fuya, ascending through scenic páramo trails. At the summit, you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of the Andes Mountain Range, sparkling lakes, and dramatic sky vistas—perfect for photos and a well-deserved break.

After descending, we head to Otavalo for a delicious late lunch and time to explore its vibrant indigenous market, famous for colorful textiles, handcrafted souvenirs, and rich culture. We return to Quito around 6:00 p.m., full of memories and stunning snapshots of the highlands.
